Game 72 Class Trial: Avenge the Law

Gift pulls a sleeve across her nose, as if hoping to make her sniffles halt, when that didn’t work, she pushed her hand over her mouth and took awkward, deep breaths through her mouth. This situation was terrible, she didn’t understand why somebody could do something like this! Gift counted down in her head, trying to calm her inner thoughts. She’d have to try to help… The naughty person couldn’t get away with this.

“N-Naw… Sara’s correct with her investigation of the break room… t-the break room… I further investigated the trash can but there was nothing really. T-There was blood everywhere! Like, over the foosball table, on the ground leading up to the picnic table… And I’m almost certain it wasn’t fake blood!”

Gift lets out a whimper as she pushes some of her white hair from her face, looking uncomfortable and frightened.

“A-And, as for an alibi… I first left with a super big group but turned off to go to the laundry so I could get all the fluffy blankets and pillows that I could! I draped two over my shoulders which I got from the dryers and gathered up four pillows! I then left the laundry room to go to the music hall, which was in the same direction that Logan and Yuko were heading. Yuko turned left however when we took a right to the music hall, we passed Light on the way. Amelie was already there and she seemed to be drawing us in her notebook, which was awesome! Raiko came in a little later with some popcorn. I relaxed in my blankets and managed to create a pretty secure and comfy blanket burrito, it was super warm~! B-But, then something super scary happened and the lights went out! Like bam, naw!”

Gift waves her hands around, as if trying to prove a point.

“So I hid myself in my blanket burrito- Or, well, I tried too! Sara had entered and was in the doorway by this time, and Katsuo was in here too! Amelie got angry-ish and ran off crying, I would have followed her if the lights didn’t go off naw, promise! I went to hide more in the burrito but big hero Logan picked me up and basically sprinted from the room, like some kinda superhero! He seemed really out of breath though, so not really a hero, more like an unfit soldier! He’d put me down, but I couldn’t just sit there while my friends were in trouble! I wrapped myself further into my blankets and used them as a shield as I made my way to the storeroom to get a flashlight, I passed Amelie who was running with a steak knife- but”

Gift visibly cringes, and her gaze lands on Jason. She looks really uncomfortable and hides her face in her hands for a moment.

“He punched me, right in the no-no’s! Naw! T-Then he proceeded to throw up his middle finger and told me to blame Rei… I hurried off to get a flashlight, Iwas a little hurt but I had to save my friends! I got myself a flashlight from the storeroom! I rushed back to the music room, but as I passed the break room I heard a scream, it… It was really scary… B-But I soldiered on! I passed Jason in the main hallway… B-Before.”

Gift seems to go red and looks really awkward, her eyes looking everywhere but at the people.

“I… I saw some indecent thingies! Amelie had been pinned down by Katsuo, Sara and Raiko, who was squeezing her like super hard! I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to disrupt you guy’s fun, naw!”

Rei stares at them thinking about her alibi'

"Gift you should have crash rolled into Jason like a log"

"I went to the School Store with Jason, Sara, and Raiko. Inside, there's a large counter, and on the shelves behind it, there seem to be stacks of school supplies. Looking on eventually made me dizzy so I retreat. Jason grabs a bulletproof vest, Sara grabs a bag and party hats, and Raiko grabs cigarettes while carrying a tub of popcorn.

Before I leave the School Store with Sara, Jason flipped me. Passing by Okuda and Yosei, who continues down the main hall. Sara leaves to enter the Kitchen. Passing by Fujimori and Racheal, who had just turned the corner to the left, and then Light, who came from the right. I take a left at the corner and continue to the Storage Room then dig through various boxes and eventually find the materials to make a spooky doll. After that I tried and failed to find any types of recording devices.

I peek outside the Storage Room door, waiting for anyone to pass. Eventually, Jason arrives and is going down the hallway. I exit and take a left, pretending to pass by him. As I are about to, I stick a leg out and trip him, causing him to hit the wall and drop an unfinished hotdog he was holding. Jason retaliates by kicking in the stomach and yelling, "If I f***ing see you again, you are f***ing dead! Got it, b****?!" as I manage to stumble and run away from him, heading to the Trash Room. No one is inside, but as you approach the incinerator, you notice that it is turned on. Other than the incinerator, there are large containers on wheels meant for transporting trash in the room.

I leave the Trash Room and take a right, continuing down the hallway as vigilant as possible in the case Jason shows up. I reach the Classroom. Inside, there are four by four rows of student desks, and a larger desk at the front of the room, with a small wastebasket adjacent to it, and a chalkboard is located on the front wall. There is a bulletin board on the side wall, and an American flag next to it. At the back of the classroom, there are a few cabinets and a shelf full of containers containing pencils, pens, chalk, markers, crayons, glue, and scissors.

I leave the Classroom and head to the Kitchen on high alert. Didn't see Jason anywhere, so I enter the Kitchen and find that Racheal is already there, sketching on a notepad.

I investigated the trash room and hallway.The trash room is exactly how it was the last time you were there and in the incinerator there's some ashes, something was burnt there, but you can't tell what from a scan. I check the Hallway outside the Break and Storage Room. I find the half-eaten hotdog that Jason dropped from when you tripped him. Its condiments are splattered on the wall. Nothing else is out of the ordinary.

Yosei would continue to listen to everyone's alibis, trying to get a picture of that night in her head. Howeer, it seemed that one thing everyone had in common was that Jason seemed incredibly pissed throughout the entire night. "Jason... let's hear where you were last night. Because right now, you're appearing the most suspicious."

[Oliver Kirkland]

"I was in the storage room, looking for some sketchpads and pencils. That was where I saw Kris and Fujimori. Kris was looking through the boxes, while Fujimori was looking around. After I grabbed my supplies, I went to the kitchen with Fujimori, while Kris left to the Break Room. That was when I saw Rei heading towards the direction of the Storage room, and passing by Yuko. Before I entered the kitchen, Light came from the other hallway and joined us to the kitchen. That is where I saw Sara and got myself something sweet to snack on." She takes a deep breath. "I then sat around the kitchen with Fujimori while Jason walked in. I believed Fujimori was staring at Jason weirdly, like either she has a crush on him or just hates him. I don't know." She shrugs. "Jason then left, glaring at either me or Fujimori. I don't know. Jason is just weird. Anyways, that's when I decided to go and take a shower. Strangely, Fujimori decided to follow me as well, at least until we reached the girl's dorm rooms. I saw Amelie in the main hall. I went to take a shower while Fujimori went into her room." Racheal pulls a can of pepsi out of her bag and starts drinking it. "Afterwards, I went out of the showers, to see Yosei on my way out. I saw that Fujimori was up ahead of me, while there were others in the distance. I followed until I was in the kitchen and sat there and sketched until I saw Rei enter the kitchen, looking like she was trying to hide from Freddy or Jason or f**king any serial killer ever." She stated as she burps loudly.

Jason silently raised a fist and slowly raised his middle finger at Gift. He repeated the gesture at Rei and Rachael. He then lowered it and spoke.

"Went to the f***ing store to get some f*** b**** protection. Then the f***ing camera room. Then the kitchen to make some f***ing food while letting some b****es know I got my eyes on them in case the f***ing c***s try anything as I left. Went to storage room and got my hotdog by that b**** a** c*** over there. Then I found out that someone messed with the f***ing electrical box or whatever in there specifically the lights in the f***ing music room. Turned it on and ran out to see if the blackened was doing anything. Then I went to bed.

"I also checked out the storage room after the useless b**** of a cop died, but couldn't find anything new. Not even the possibility that something was taken that I didn't notice the first time I went there."

[Sara Soul]

Sara listened carefully to all of the information given. She quietly strummed her guitar in thought, then looked up in everyone.

"Hey, for the ones who haven't spoken up yet, we'd like to know you're alibi's, you know. It would be a lot of help." she smiles. "We might actually get somewhere if we knew, ya know?"

[Lee Yuha [Hansel]]

    Yuha was in deep thought. Her hands were on her hips, her head slightly drooping. The members of her group, Milkyway, knew that whenever Yuha was in this exact bearing, something had to be bothering her. Something had to be up. And there was. Having ruminated on the accounts that had just been reported, Yuha thought they could finally uncover this plight. 

    “The sketch artist has just enlightened us that one of the large knives in the Kitchen was already missing during the day, specifically during the second action. I wondered how this was possible when we weren’t even permitted to take objects with us in the first place. However, a thought occurred to me that while we can’t take objects, we can certainly move things around. Which led me to believe that someone had hidden the knife somewhere in the Kitchen.* This means then that only those who had headed to the Kitchen during their first Daily action could’ve done that. I can say for certain that it isn’t me, Gift, Fujimori, nor Light as we were all in the AV Room for our first Daily action.” 

    Yuha cleared her throat. 

    “I’m saying this because the knife in question seems to be the only one relevant in the murder. First of all, it was already missing during the day. Moreover, it’s logical to assume that it’s what was used by the blackened to inflict the wound on the victim’s throat. 

    “Supposing the knife were the murder weapon, anyone who had gone to the Kitchen during the night is suspicious. However, I have a special person in mind who I believe could’ve hidden the knife during the day and acquired it later in the Night. 

    “This person, along with two others, was seen by Logan when he was in the Kitchen during his first action. According to him, this person was just looking around the place. Later, this same person left the Kitchen and was seen by Gift who had just vacated the Laundry Room. Both of them, including Logan, walked down the Main Hallway in the direction of the Auditorium. When Gift and Logan were about to turn right, however, Gift saw this person turn left hallway—the hallway to the Break Room (Crime Scene) and the Storage Room. Rachael and Fujimori, who had gone from the Storage Room and left to head to the Kitchen, passed by Rei, who claimed to have headed to the Storage Room, and this same person. Rei went to the Storage Room to do her business. The person, however, was not seen after this.  

    “The person did not go to the Storage Room with Rei. Where else could they have gone, then? The Break Room. According to Rachael, after she and Fujimori left the Storage Room, she found Kris heading to the Break Room. This person might have seen Kris go here as well and, discovering he was all alone, decided to execute their plan. They headed left, I suppose, after doing this to go to the Trash Room and burn something. 

    “After committing the crime, the person, who was now a Blackened, was found later in the Nurse’s Office by Okuda. On his account, he found the person trying to overdose by taking various pills and Okuda attempted to preclude this person’s attempt of committing suicide by having them take the Ipecac syrup. I guess they wanted to kill themselves after what they had done, and to make this mystery more baffling that it is now. But they failed and still lived anyway, thanks to Okuda.” 

    “Well, they’re the Ultimate Luck, after all,” she murmured. 

    After her speech, Yuha stretched her arms in front of her and cocked her head to the side. 

    “I wager you all now know whom I’m referring to.” 

    The pop star dramatically pointed her finger at . . . 

    “Yuko Harakiri! It’s you who murdered the Ultimate Police!” 

    Yuha was glowering at the girl who had been quiet since the beginning of the trial. 

    “Anything you’d like to say?”

*The idea of someone’s hiding the knife was Rei’s. 

[OOC]: I decided not to post the theory about Fujimori lol. I believe that this theory's still quite flimsy but it's something at least, right?

Yosei would do her best to envision in her head what Yuha was saying, seeing if it all made sense with what she had put together. Of course, it was entirely possible that Yuko ended up doing it, but she still felt like she had to put her two cents in. "I see. Either she committed the crime and was overcome by guilt, or she was doing it and hoping her luck would have her come save someone to give her an alibi. Either way, it is entirely plausible. However, there's one thing that's bothering me about that theory: The fact that two large knives are missing. Where could the other one have gone?"

Yuha turned to the person who addressed her. She was delighted someone listened. Before responding, she smiled at the storyteller. 

"Well, Yosei, not everything missing has something to do with the crime, like the missing scissors from the Classroom for example. ((when i asked the host about the scissors, I got the result that "You have a feeling the scissors aren't connected to the murder at all")) I'm pretty certain someone took the other missing knife for self-defense, or who knows? The Blackened may have taken it along with the other one they hid during the day. We really don't know where the two large knives had gone to anyway. Unless someone here admits to taking it."

Yuha shrugged.

[Misaki]

When Yuko was being accused by Yuha as the killer, she let out a loud scream and began crying...

"I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE! EVERYONE PLEASE EXECUTE ME NOW! I JUST WANT TO DIE ALREADY!"

Yosei would suddenly look over at the lucky student who burst into tears, wondering just what the hell it meant. "What the hell? Are you... having a mental breakdown?"

I did an in-depth investigation of that room.

There was ashes and clumps of metal inside of the incinerator. The metals were not identifiable nor could I put them together.

The storyteller would look toward the thief, sighing. "That's probably where the knives ended up. Honestly, it is starting to look more and more like Yuko did it."

If I was going to get attacked, I wasn't about to go out without a fight.
