(Yeah, no, that's a Rules question, not one for Sho. Using anything for bashing would obviously make use of the Blunt proficiency. Under our system, I'd say using a knife to stab would be Sharp, the Revolver to shoot would be projectile, and using the rope as a noose to hang, depending on how it was done, would either be no proficiency, or blunt.)

((Alright, everyone who has votes on the people listed below are not answering for important facts which I will state below. These facts heavily indicate their innocence until someone can prove they mean nothing. I will not have anymore pointless bandwagons, so here goes:

Vinny: Visited bookshelves twice. Only 4 books found on Library table by Mayumi. Meaning the culprit likely only visited the bookshelf once.

Silent: Same as Vinny

Satori: B/P, need I say more?

Aqua: DIDN'T VISIT THE BOOKSHELVES WHICH THE KILLER HAD TO VISIT!!!

Weegee: Same as Aqua

So, unless evidence can suddenly turn into whatever you like, I think you're all wrong. I would like those of you who voted to take your votes off, or vote for someone who visited the bookshelves once, was a late arrival, and who is NOT a B/P user. If this is some kind of attempt to avenge me since Aqua accused me last trial, I find it to be incredibly messed up and completely misguided.

By the way, people who fit all those characteristics are Tamotsu, Miyoshi, and Cathell. Anyone who doesn't vote for one of those three without giving a good reason as to why others are suspicious will be severely frowned upon. GO GROUP SHAMING! IT WORKS, I TELL YOU!))

Ah, the theory and evidence I needed to make my pointy earlier, all in one convenient post ^_^. This is why someone would need to visit the book shelf twice. The killer, having two e-handbooks, used a sleight of hand to change them at the library. The scenario is something like this.

Presumably, if our pop idol is right, it would make sense that the killer is male. The fact that Allen's handbook was in the library seems strange until you consider that it is a ploy. They had visited the library early to swap a book for the male handbook and maintain their cover.

Here is the scenario as a whole. The killer used a female e-handbook to enter the female locker room and incapacitate the victim. Then, they dumped the body in the pool. They were splashed with water, and made their way to the male changing room to dry off in the locker. Then, they disposed of the female e-handbook somewhere. If someone inspects the entrance hall where the dead student's e-handbooks are, they might find two missing. One is Allen's, the other someone else's. If they had returned an e-handbook there, then it might show signs of use or handling, or even water damage.

Now here is where the sleight of hand comes into play. The killer needed to do several things near the pool to ensure that they could execute their plan. There is no guarantee that something could have happened to their own e-handbook at the time, so they had swapped that in to the shelves first. After the murder, they swapped their book and Allen's.

Now (as in normal Indrid Cold fashion, its time to suspect the least suspected), I SUSPECT SILENT!

The fact that four books were on the table but five people visited the shelf once leads to me believe that one of them was the blackened. We should probably assume that all visits were for a reason, meaning that all double-visited were grabbing a book and placing it back. four books were on the table so they were taken but not returned. This leaves us with one mystery single visit, which is probably the blackened. (This is what you were suggesting as well right? I agree that it's the most likely scenario)

Savage visited twice according to your own testimony. If we believe the card was a red herring, it was done by a male. This leaves us with Cathell and Tamotsu.

Voting Tamotsu for now!

Note: Tamotsu was seen on camera's in the cafe during trial 1. Just fyi.

My apologies for that. I thought Savage only visited it once. Disregard my claim against him being a prime suspect. The top suspects are Tamotsu, Miyoshi, and Cathell.

Mayumi stated earlier that she only found Allen's keycard in the bookshelf, meaning that the killer did not have 2 e-handbooks. Therefore, there was no real reason for them to visit the shelf more than once.

No, I won't completely discount the fact that someone grabbing 2 books could have still done this, but considering the book numbers that were found on the table are inconsistent, I'm more inclined to believe the double-grabbers are innocent, and we should focus primarily on the single-grabbers that aren't B/P.

And since Silent was a double-grabber, I disagree with your theory pointing to him as the culprit.

While it's true that the tracker information makes Aqua look suspicious, the fact that he didn't visit the bookshelf at all is important information, and that shouldn't be overlooked for the sake of a tracker report. I made this mistake last trial by suspecting Satori because of a suspicious tracker report, even though the culprit's proficiency apparently pointed otherwise.

Then, we should focus on the list as it stands, Tsurugi. I would like to discount Mayoshi from suspicion as she doesn't fit the theory posted by the pop star or myself. That would leave Cathell and Tamotsu. Fair?

Very well, I agree that since Miyoshi is female, she is less suspicious than the other two. Of course, if neither of these two are guilty, we should still consider her as a possible suspect in future trials.

However, thinking about it further, I think you have a point. We might want to still consider the double-book grabbers as suspects in future trials, considering one of them could have returned a book on the table to the shelf in addition to hiding the e-handbook. But right now, it's basically a toss-up at this point. So, if one or both of these two aren't guilty, we shouldn't be afraid of turning our attention over to these other potential suspects.

So, if that is the case, I'd like trackers on Miyoshi, Vinny, Savage, and/or Silent for next trial. But I can't stress this enough after seeing the sudden change in votes to Tamotsu:

Vote for where your own deductions lead you. Otherwise, the 'mystery-solving' turns into a glorified popularity contest.

If you have a feeling somebody else who visited the bookshelves did this, please feel welcome to state your thoughts. I've seen a lot of vote switching, but not a lot of talking about it. And I'd like to see people putting more than their mandatory single post on this thread, if possible. You don't have to, obviously, but more eyes are better than none.
