Minitrial 105 // Trial

Everyone has been running around frantically through Blackmoor Manor.

And. There you find it. Where Kenneth and Dipper went. They were in the Guest Room East. Both of them are dead.

A clearly panicked Elinor calls everyone to the Grand Hall, and demands to know what happened here during the night.

Trial! Begin! You have 48 hours from now to solve the mystery of Blackmoor Manor. At the 24 hour mark, the poll will end on whether or not there will be an extension. You are encouraged to explore the map and interact with it, exploring more will likely result in more information.

In addition, there is no voting in this mini-trial under a poll. Once trial ends, everyone will have to DM me the answer to the following three questions.

1. Who killed Dipper?
2. Who killed Kenneth?
3. Who killed Kyle?

Who is the blackened?

For the sake of clarity. Killed refers to the person who intentionally committed the act of murder, or willingly and intentionally underwent an action that resulted in murder.

What this means is that, if someone went and got a gun and placed it on the table, and talked about how important it would be to keep an eye on this gun so no one used it and shot it. Immediately followed by a blackout, and someone firing the gun.

The Killer is the person who pulled the trigger. The Blackened is the person who set up situation to allow for the killer to kill. The Killer and The blackened are not mutually exclusive titled.

And then Kyle’s ghost appears. “Hayyyyyy, sis,” he says in his horribly nasal flamboyant voice (signing to Karen as he does so). “Didn’t think you’d get rid of me thaaaaat easy, did you? Or you? Or you?” He winks at everyone. “…yeah, I don’t know who killed me. But it was one of you bicthes!!!! And I’ll find you!”

Luigi’s wide eyes open even wider as he jumps a full two feet into the air.

“Mama Mia! It’s happening again!”

He wields a vacuum cleaner (which he has been dragging everywhere like a baby blanket) and takes a step towards the pair, raising it towards the ghost, electrical cord dragging against the floor. He attempts to turn it on repeatedly in spite of this.

“Stay-a away from my b-b-b-brother!”

He is shaking in his boots, close to collapsing.

Kyle raises an eyebrow at this display. The vacuum cleaner seems to have no effect on him.

"Um, ew. Get that dirty thing away from me. Oh, and move the vacuum cleaner, too."

Ethel appears at the doorway, her footsteps almost as silent as those of Kyle's ghost. She shoots a disapproving glare at Luigi. 




"And here I thought that the gravest misconduct I would see tonight was the breaking-and-entering activities of this vacuum-stealing man over here."

"But now, three people dead in the manor! What a blight upon the Penvellyn name! What a disgrace to the Blackmoor land! Whoever committed this horror shall not live to see another day!"

She pronounces this with such ferocity that some of the other dinner guests feel compelled to take a step away from this lady. Jane, however, stifles a yawn and shuffles a deck of cards that was in her pocket. 



"Yeah, yeah, 'the Penvellyn name and heritage are the greatest treasure', blah blah blah. Can we go home soon?"

*Turkey Lurkey is freaking out*

"Mister Lurkey your life was not attempted on; however, I do recommend we figure out what happened to these poor souls. To start with I was with Mister Lurkey A3 and 4 and of course A6 which we were all present. Unsure how Kyle was killed. I mean clearly got something shot through him but how or what I'm Unsure.

Luigi notices the puzzled faces. Everybody turns to look at him, having already heard him speak. He looks sheepish being put on the spot suddenly. He’s holding his hat in his hands and looking at the ground, but he steps up.

“Oh... I suppose I can translate his alibi. That’s the only language Mario can speak. I can speak both. I’m bi-luiginal.”

Mario’s Alibi:

“Oh no! How awful! Let me-a explain where I was at last night!”

Action 1:
“Soon as we got-a here, I immediately went to the kitchen to make some spaghetti! Luigi was moving around some benches and eventually helped me with the spaghetti.”

“I then went to the conservatory. There was a young girl here plucking seedlings from their plastic holders. Turkey Lurkey was here, being chased by a carnivorous plant. I-a noticed some pipes in the well weren’t connected, so I started working on those.”

Action 2:

“I finished plumbing and got water to fill the tank. I noticed Elinor and a dog in a suit at this time. I then went upstairs. I briefly tried to fight the-a gargoyle and realized it’s a statue that rotates.”

Action 3:

“I then searched Elinor’s room with a woman named Ethel. I eventually tried climbing up the chimney, and figured out the passcode for the desk, which opened up to reveal a key. But I then heard Luigi scream, and I ran in that direction.”

“I bolted into Guest Room West to find Luigi cowering in the corner. I helped him up, and we cleaned the room together.”

Action 4:

“I then went into the East guest room. The bedsheets were a bit messed up, and the closet door was off it’s hinges, but it was clean otherwise. I then went to the Parlour to play-a poker with Luigi for a round or two. DIO joined us, but he started cheating so we left the table.”

Action 5:

“Realizing it was about dinner time, I went to the dinner hall to ask Elinor if she needed anything. She said she-a needed three chairs from the storage room, and gave me a key to go get them. Strangely, I didn’t need the key, the storage room was already unlocked. I grabbed three-a chairs and went back to the dining room.”

“We all were together Action 6, Mama Mia! What an awful turn of events.”

“But still, we can’t just have me translate everything. We need a way to fix this..”

He holds his chin and contemplates for a moment.

“Alright! Let’s-A-Go! I think I have something for this exact situation!”

He pulls a non-canonical magic badge out of his non-canonical badge pocket in his overalls and hands it to Mario to wear.

“This should translate his speech automatically so we don’t have to keep doing this the entire time.. Phew! That would have been a headache!”

You aren’t entirely sure if they’re messing with you or not.

Karen's eyes drift over to Panty and she starts to sign to her. Luckily, even in death, Kyle can translate for her.

"I wasn't expecting you to know sign language. It was a pleasant surprise. Things would have gotten really hot last night if not for that strange man that appeared out of nowhere." 

Karen stops signing and Kyle says, "Sis, what the hell? You almost got some last night?"

Karen gives her brother the finger, which needs no translation. She then turns to the group and addresses them directly. Her voice is fairly easy to understand. "I last saw my brother [at the end of A5]. At that time, we had discovered a secret door at the gargoyle in the first floor hallway. We went inside and found a ginger-haired middle-aged woman glaring at us. So the two of us left, and that's when we split apart."

"In any case, this has me curious. Elinor, would you mind terribly if Jane and I went to investigate the dining room floor for any bullets or fragments that may be lying about unnoticed?"

Though Elinor may not mind, Jane does seem to mind terribly that she's been volunteered for this task.

Your investigation of the Dining Hall reveals two things. One, that there is a space below the Dining Hall, which you can see light coming from. Two, is that there is a small and cylindrical round lodged into the roof. It looks like this:



It's also heavy, and the round feels pointed.

Well what was I supposed to do, just let you fornicate on the bed during a party?? ZEHAHAHA That would have been quite a show, but alas it was neither the time nor place for such deeds.

He then takes a breath to regain his composure. I'm sure the two fools in the bedroom were simply stabbed, but when would this have happened? I saw neither of them for the entire night. What about you, my BFAM?

He snaps his finger and raises his glass looking around. Wow crummy service huh. Oh and to answer your question I did see Kenny around the end of A4, which means he had to be killed sometime during A5.

Suddenly intrigued, Jane gets down on her hands and knees to look through the hole in the floor, trying to see if she can recognize the room below, or make out any distinguishing features, such as the floor pattern or the presence (or absence) of plants.

Jane does not recognise the room below. Nor can she see any plants or other distinguishing features, except for a tile pattern.
