Chapter Sixteen: Destiny

Destiny didn't really have anywhere to go whilst she waited for her quarters to be built at the vtubers base. So as Mumei promised, destiny had spent the last three weeks in Mumei's treehouse, her abode. More buttons had been added to the elevator after the trouble at Fauna's Forest was fixed. So there was now access to this area from Fauna's Cottage, the Cottage being the main way connected to Civilisation at the entrance. Mumei, who still worked with Omegaa and also Cyn apparently was taking a break to host Destiny in her home, Destiny had been practising her cooking skills with Sana, who was visiting. "Destiny, I do not know how many times I should have to say this, when a recipe says "Flour" it means this white powdery stuff in the kitchen, not go to Fauna's Forest and pick flowers!" Mumei was sat on her treehouse swing overhead laughing at this interaction. "But flowers are beautiful and smell nice, surely this would improve the recipes?" Sana groans at Destiny's argument. "No, no, they do not TASTE good, so they don't IMPROVE the recipes! Look at my bread compared to yours." In front of Sana was a fluffy loaf of brown bread, in front of Destiny was a soggy green coloured "loaf"? that definitely did not look edible. "Why don't you taste them both and see the difference?" Destiny ate a chunk of Sana's bread, and then a chunk of her own. "I really don't taste that much difference, the texture and colour are just different." Sana places her head on the table. Mumei whilst laughing jumps down towards the kitchen trouble. "You know what Destiny, maybe you should stick to your piano playing, and not cooking/baking." Destiny looks sad, "I just wanted to cook for people." "I know, I know, but listen, you gift people with your music, and soon you're going to gift people all around the world with your music, surely that's a gift!" Destiny seems to smile at that, "Yeah, that sounds good." Sana slightly lifts her head off the table, "How about we make a deal, every time you want to cook for someone, you call me and I will come down and do some cooking for you." "You would do that for me?" Sana jumps up excitedly, "Yeah! You're one of the family now! Even if I have graduated!" "I thought the bosses didn't really like you involved with the others though." "We came up with a deal! As long as there is no evidence to the fans that I'm here, I can spend time with you all!" "Oh okay, well that's nice at least." "Also yours and Rin's contracts have gone through now, and you've been announced to the fans, your rooms should be done by next week, and then you two can start vtubing!" The three girls spent the rest of the night, eating Sana's bread, and talking about things Destiny can do on her channel next week.
