Game 101 - FINAL TRIAL - The End is never the End

Richie spills all of his info so his friends can use it to solve the mystery.

"I started my night at A0 in the Library with Emoji guy and Frank. The star shards I had on my person were very rumbly."

"I waited a bit longer there. Frank left, and Keziah and Yoshi came back. Keziah handed me some mushrooms she found so I could use them to find the last star shard."

"At A2, Emoji guy hopped into the Library Time Portal, and I went to the Statue Room with Keziah and Yoshi. Those two went into the time portal there. Meanwhile, I took a bite of all the mushrooms I had and looked into the portal. I could see the final star piece now that all the colors disappeared from the time swirls."

"I fished out the star piece with my Extendo-pole and put the five pieces I had into the 5 big statues. But I still needed the cobalt star core, or nothing would happen."

"While I pondered, I saw Erika walk from the Balcony and head downstairs. Then I heard a song coming from the pulsating star shards."

"The song reminded me of WAH, so I pushed the corner statue into the center of the room. It had a star-shaped hole, so this must be where the core goes. Though I still didn't have the core."

Once Richie's done with his alibi, he shares his investigations.

"The East Wing seemed normal, aside from a couple of drips of purple paint leading to the battlements."

"The West Wing hasn't been touched at all. There was an unfinished Clue game, and Professor Plum was the killer."

"The Stairs to the Observatory were covered with Shroobs. They were all staring at the humming statues in the Statue Room, but they didn't enter the room."

"The Balcony looked down at the Battlements. I can see someone had gripped the rail tightly, as if they tried to get a good look at something. I tried to mimic the movement, but I didn't see anything interesting."

"Before sharing my alibi, there is something else I need to mention."
"I have a rough idea of what happened in the Throne Room during the night."


"It's a lot to digest, but if you're competent enough, you'll remember."
"This information is the result of a thorough investigation of the scene. My brain pieced a lot of vague events together."


"The night began with the existence of an angry presence, probably the princess."
"This princess kicked a peon, talked to someone unknown, and then made her way out of the room."


"The room did eventually clear out, but the movement caused a lot of information loss."
"What I could tell was that a person A entered, followed by person B. This subject B definitely gave something to A."


"Eventually a person C entered the room."
"Person A collapsed. Then Person B and C started a conversation."
"I can't tell if this is what immediately followed, but person C put person A on the Stuffcophagus."


"My detective intuition says that something was then eaten, and something was poured."


"My intuition told me that. Although vague, since it's from me it's probably right."

Kokichi looks at Erika.

“Weeeell well, looks like you’re just a piece on the game board after all. Your detective intuition was WROOOONG!

“The angry presence was actually Byakuya. The one he kicked was Nagito. After Nagito literally ate my toes, Byakuya beat him up and bandaged me. The princess was still there, chanting (A0).

“I clung to Byakuya’s arm, definitely not crying. Byakuya carried me lovingly to the infirmary. I passed out on the way, but when I woke up, I was being operated on… Without anesthetic…” Kokichi starts to cry at the memory of his painful trauma. “(A1).”

“They sewed me up while I screamed, and Byakuya also screamed at me for having bad pain tolerance. Then the doctors put me in a bed (A2).”

“I got into a wheelchair and followed byakuya to the kitchen, where he demanded I make him food. So I wheeled around awkwardly, definitely not still crying in pain, and made him a…” Kokichi pauses to remember what he read in his recipe book. “A pureed nut spread paired with a grape relish reduction on a brioche bun (or pb&j). Byakuya threw his on the ground and started slap fighting me. I was screaming at the top of my lungs the whole time (A3).”

“Byakuya ran off to the infirmary while I cried over my sandwich that had fallen to the ground in the chaos. I was wailing when Erika walked in and gave me a weird look, then left eastward (A4).”

“I followed Erika while definitely not crying. She was in the storage room smashing all the furniture. I joined her and smashed stuff too! It almost made me forget about the horrifying pain of having my leg broken, then my toes bitten off, then being operated on without anesthetic, then having Byakuya reject my snack (A5).”

"I went up the stairs to the balcony. Found nothing."
"On my journey there, I passed by Keziah and Yoshi."


"[A3] I stayed to look down on everything."
"Absolutely nobody walked through the battlements below. Though that's ignoring the guards."


"Behind me, in the statue room, Richie played around with the statues."
"I chose to completely ignore his presence and continue my watch."


"[A4] I did have to pass by him on my way out."
"At one point, I passed through the kitchen, where a crippled Kokichi cried over a sandwich."


"When I finally reached my destination, the storage, I was tired."
"Someone had turned the room into some kind of bedroom, with a bed and places to sit."


"[A5] Kokichi wheeled into the room and started to destroy everything."
"I was unfazed in the face of that aggression and decided to duct tape the vents instead."


"That was my night."

Keziah huffs.


"The events stated to have happened in the Throne Room are suspicious. It sounds to me like whatever Person B gave to Person A, it might've caused them to collapse. Maybe it was strong alcohol, like the rum taken from the Shroob Shop, and Person A drank into unconsciousness within that hour—this would explain the alcohol smell on the body. Persons B and C might've been colluding, but at some point afterwards, Person C lifted Person A onto the Stuffcophagus. 'Something was eaten, something was poured.' I reckon Person A was fed a Statue Leaf, then had Nitric Acid poured on them, melting their stone body. I just... I don't have enough info to narrow down who these people could've been."

"I'm havin' trouble gaugin' the motivations of whoever did this. The Stuffcophagus was melted open in Action 4, sure, but why? Was it because someone hoped Squeaks was still kickin' around in there, and they wanted to free him? Dagnabbit, we still ain't figured out who the victim is!"

"We're all still here, that's fer sure. That leaves us two options: either this is someone's clone from a Double Cherry, or it's Luigi, or I guess it could be..."


She pauses briefly.

"I think you already know who Persons A and B might be—they entered right after you and everyone left, like you just said. That's Princess Shroob, and, most likely, Shroobworth. I'd been thinkin' our victim had to be human, but all we know about the victim is that they were vaguely humanoid, nothin' more!"

Nagito stops his chanting and looks around.

“Ahh well, I guess I should explain what I was up to, even a useless guy like me might have some clues.
I started the night laying on the floor in the most amazingggg mix of agony and excitement. Kokichi and Byakuya were there, and so was princess Shroob, who was chanting and got her crown (without the gem) from a nearby shroob.

Action 1 I saw princess shroob whisper in Shroobworths ear and then he ran off and she went Eastward.

Action 2 I got tossed into the armory by the shroobs, where I blacked out for a few seconds from hitting my head. There were some shroobs standing there, blocking the entrance to the throne room.

Action 3 I noticed that SHROOBS DONT HAVE TOES WTF?? (Ok so the architect dude DEFINITELY had toes and he was a toad I think so shroobs are fully different than them I think that’s what that means??)
Also Shroobworth walked by with a tray of wine glasses.

Action 4 I smelt a putrid smell coming from the throne room and heard some sizzling. (Roasted toes?? Pogchamp)

Action 5 I rushed into the throne room and the smell was vile, with frank also there, teh two of us crawling in the weird gooo. Princess Shroob and Shroobsworth looked down shocked.

As for my useless investigations,

The Storage room was a complete and total mess, and looks like it used to be a sleeping area too. There was some open purple paint behind a shelf with a tarp. That was the only neat part of the room!

The engineering room has a single flying saucer watching the entrance to the throne room, watching.

The armory seemed to be untouched.

And finally, the strange elevator had its electrical panel on teh ground, and seemingly works now! It only takes one person up at a time, and from the looks of it someone was up there!

Hopefully this useless sack of Kuma! was a help. Maybe.

Keziah withdraws a pair of books. Beeping some buttons, she scans some pages with her goggles and displays the relevant passages on the overhead screen beside the objectives:

What he got was cherry wine—or should I say, Double Cherry wine. Meanwhile, the Princess acquired a Statue Leaf and some Lovely Nitric Acid. The two returned to the Throne Room—this makes Princess Shroob our Person A and Shroobsworth our Person B—when Princess Shroob took the wine and began drinkin'. Consuming the Double Cherry formed a clone of her, also known as Person C."

"The original Princess Shroob was knocked out somehow; whether that's gotta do with the wine, the rum, the hammer, or whatever is beyond me right now. Point is, the cloned Princess Shroob ended up haulin' her original onto the Stuffcophagus, force-fed her a Statue Leaf, then poured Nitric Acid all over her to dissolve her body!"

"For anyone else, death would've destroyed the clone, as per the details of the Double Cherry. But this ain't a normal person—this is Princess Shroob. When she got cloned, they were still thinkin' with the same brain. They were more than clones at that point. Plus, we know from what the robot told us that Shroobs are parasites that feed off decay, callin' them dead or alive in the first place is downright controversial. From what they've been chantin', they hardly consider themselves organic t'begin with."


She points a firm finger at the silent and enigmatic Princess Shroob.


"So that's what happened—Squeaks' Time Ghost, intentionally or not, set events into motion that led to a cloned Princess Shroob meltin' her own original host!"
