Alice (with full permission to guide the character) zooms herself and Richie right in between Luigi and E.Gadd, nanometers away from bopping the latter on his pinkish nose. She's just that good a flier, or her broom is.

"The pleasure's all mine," the witchy girl replies. "I'm Malice- errr, I mean- Alice."

Richie hops off the broom. "And I'm Richie. Gramps was saying you had a new invention?"

"Yeah, let's see that Dimento whatchamacallit. Hmm... if I had to take a guess... it wouldn't happen to be under that tarp, would it, Edgar?"

ELVIN (The E in Elvin stands for Edgar) Gadd beams, shaking his head softly.

"Now now a g-good scientist never reveals his invention until it is done, and once I finish a few more calculations, my GREATEST INVENTION will be ready to show! But you can wait a measly hour or so can't you? I promise after my test run, you will be the first pair to try it! W-Well...second pair actually. Speaking of which, Luigi, I need you to stay behind with me to take some...measurements. Because you're so tall you know and I wouldn't want you to hurt your head."

Luigi turns to E.Gadd, obvious worry written across his face.

"M-ME!?! B-B-But you said it could b-be dangerous! And w-what if it doesn't work? Why can't Mario j-"

E.Gadd cuts him off.

"Now now you big scaredy-cat. It's perfectly safe. The Princess asked for you specifically, remember? Besides this is a great opportunity! You'll explore a place beyond what we thought possible, the fourt-"

E.Gadd SLAMS the door in your twos faces, clearly too interested in his work to be polite to guests. Ah well. Gramps will be fine.

[Peregrine]

Strutting their way through the throngs of people, a very small elderly woman and her dog scan the royal chambers for their latest prey. Now where did that little rascal run off to? He'd gotten some distance on them, due to one or two untimely technical malfunctions, but the nose ahead of her hasn't steered her wrong yet.

— Ninety minutes ago —

Keziah Proctor trudged almost silently through the thick brush, straining her ears. The vast forests she lived in held many secrets and spanned many territories, and scarcely had her hunts ever taken her this far afield. But, a meal was a meal, and she'd certainly worked up an appetite.

The rush of confusion and excitement when she spotted the flag on the horizon was one she hadn't felt in many years—how the hell had she managed to wander into the Mushroom Kingdom? She didn't know the forests came anywhere close to it, much less Princess Peach's Castle itself! And yet... the tracks led steadily towards it.

Go-time.

With a small, sharp whistle, the woman commands the golden hound to identify the scent again. Her gut tells her they're getting close. Plunging his snout to the ground, the dog sniffs wildly, before stiffening.

He's close.

As one, the pair bolt down the hallway, past the imposing doors to the throne room, round the corner, just stopping paces away from the door. Giving her companion time to look about, she realizes they've reached some kind of guest quarters. This calls for—


BLAM.


Oh god. Without a moment's hesitation, Keziah kicks the door in! The pair jumps into the room, zeroing in on the rodent of unusual size sat lounging within.


"Hah! Found you at last, you oversized furball! Any last words, Lunch?"


Keziah stands, no taller than her dog, as she holds her fingers ready to snap and issue the kill command any moment.

Squeaks is in heaven and spend a good chunk of time chilling in the room waiting to be called.

"Only a King such as myself can be as fashionably late as I am! And if anyone shows up after me they're too late and not as fashionable. What shall I see with my truly greatest nemesis of Luigi and Mario. I, King Boo, am clearly their greatest foe! Also, that inventor is here, I should go-- what is this?" Boo turns to Squeaks and floats really close. "It is adorable! I must have it! Tiny cute thing, care to be my servant? I plan to take over the mushroom kingdom and expand my territory mostly made of random abandoned houses to be honest."

The girl surveys the room and determines that it's a potential resting spot although she feels there must be better spots somewhere in the castle. She then leaves the room and as soon as she does. She hears some commotion coming from down the hall and so she heads over to where it's coming from.

She eventually finds herself in the guest room area and witnesses some furball getting harassed by some ghost thing and a some weird looking granny. She stares at the furball her eyes widening with almost murderous intent...



"SUCH A CUTE AND FLUFFY FURBALL! YOU SHALL BECOME MY PILLOW!"

Sidequest Obtained: Turn Squeaky into a pillow!

[Ktoasty]

Richie looks dumbfounded at the door that's been closed on him. "What just happened?"

"We got ignored, that's what." Alice, who may or may not be Marisa with an alias, shrugs and grins. "Welp, what do you say we let your Gramps do his thing and go for another ride. Aye, Richy?"

"You had me at 'Welp'!" The scarlet-haired dude is starry-eyed once again. He leaps onto the tail-end of the magic broom, which is surprisingly comfortable to sit on.

Alice pilots them through loop-de-loops and alley-oops around the castle until she does a double-take at one particular junction. "Now... what could being going on there... Hold on to your seat, Richy. We're taking a detour." She swerves them right into the room containing a squeak, a lady, a dog, a boo, and a girl.

"Would ya look at that! I knew my, uh, explorer sense was tingling." She parks her broom in front of the squeakers. "You're mine, little mouse!"

Richie, somewhat confused by his ride partner's change in demeanor, taps her shoulder. "Is there a reason you want that thing?"

"I'm glad you asked," Alice replies, as her temporary poster generates a random bit of lore that in no way conveys her true nature. "Y'see, I love all things that start with M. It's how my name starts after all, Maris- I MEAN- I mean Margatroid. So things like m-, magic and mice are just my style."

"Ohhhh."

[Jackie :3 (Bloom/Pollen)]

(Frank runs in with a bunch of shrimp and sees the scene of 3 'people' like one of them is a ghost anyways all all of them looking at squeaky with not the best intent.)

"My guys what's going on here? I sure hope you guys weren't going to do anything bad to my mouse friend here." 

(He is eating the the shrimp by the handfuls.) 

"...The shrimp is pretty good by the way."

[Vaellin the Bard]

"Wait a minute you bastards. I saw him first. He's my minion. If you want to eat him, steal him, or otherwise mutilate him you'll have to go through me first. And as I make the rules around here, I say 'NO!'"

A statement that would be more intimidating if he didn't say it really quietly as not to draw attention to himself.

[Jackie :3 (Bloom/Pollen)]

"See that right there is why i don't trust you guys... you aren't turning him into your minion or whatever."

(My man still eating shrimp.)

"Well I didn't ask you to be my minion, so your opinion doesn't matter. Only those who serve under King Boo matter anyway. But I shall protect my minions with my unlife, which is more than I can say about you! You are eating innocent shrimp! I hear their cries from the grave of deliciousness!"

While Alice is preoccupied with Sir Squeakems, Richie has someone else catch his eye. He audibly gasps and looks straight at King Boo.

"A real ghost at the Mushroom Kingdom! Hey, Mr. Ghost. Can I hunt you?"

"Okay let him choose, and 'Minion' doesn't seem that good of a title maybe if it was 'Servant' it might be more convincing also the shrimp is amazing you aren't going to guilt trip me."

The broom is going is any which ways now, it would be advised to, hold on.

"WAH!!" Richie point-of-view is yanked away from King Boo as he's taken on another magic broom ride. A much more hectic one at that.

The king returns, laughing happily!
"Hah! I defeated the evil onlooker! It totally wasn't him being pulled away by a girl on a broom See that Minion? I can defeat the greatest foes with ease!"
