Satori here as I've observed in the recent games. The current investigation system is too limiting to players and that evidence don't have as much impact in trials as they should. This is why most trials have become too reliant on alibis to solve the "whodunnit" and solving for the "howdunnit" becomes pointless and often overlooked completely by the players. Because of this. I have come up with new features and suggestions that could address these issues.
Increase Investigation Credits
The amount of investigation credits given to players should increase proportion to the number of players and map size as each round progresses. Ideally. Players should be given at least 1 extra investigation credit per round after the first trial.
More In-depth Murder Report
Players should be given more information on the body and crime scene equivalent to a scan without spending any credits. Additionally. The host should also explicitly state if a blackened skill or accomplices were involved in the murder.

Truth Bullets
Like in the actual Dangan Ronpa games. Truth Bullets are facts and pieces of evidence that are irrefutable and can be obtained either through questioning, player skills and may even be given for free by the host. Truth Bullets are used to shoot down contradicting statements and establish facts which cannot be questioned. Additionally. Blackeneds also gain the ability to create "Fake" Truth Bullets (1 use only) which may help give them an edge during trials. However these can be risky to use as they can be exposed by the Detective. (More details below)
The Detective
In addition to the Blackened role. A new player role will be introduced called "The Detective" who are essentially the lead investigator and arch nemesis of the Blackened. The Detective is chosen almost the same way as the Blackened except that players sign up as the Detective during Night Life rather than Daily Life and their identity will be known publicly at the start of Deadly Life. Detectives will have the following perks and abilities:
1. More Investigation Credits
While normal players start with 2 investigation credits. The detective will be given double the amount (Maybe more depending on certain factors)
2. Interrogation
Detectives have the ability to interrogate other players to give their testimonies during Deadly Life. This may help them decide which places should be investigated based from the testimonies as well as root out potential Blackeneds by forcing them to give their testimonies early. To do this. The Detective may send a request to the host to interrogate a certain player then host will then PM the target player and ask for their testimony. If a player fails to give their testimony within a certain amount of time, the host will send their testimony to the Detective on their behalf. Detectives may interrogate a max of 3 players per Deadly Life.
3. Skill Checker
Detectives can check a single player and will learn their Blackened skill. 1 use per Deadly Life.
4. Lie Detector
Detectives may choose to examine to examine a Truth Bullet presented in trial and verify if its real or fake. 2 uses per trial.
In addition. If the Detective succeeds in catching the Blackened. They will continue being the Detective for the remainder of the game and gain night immunity. However if they fail the trial. They will be executed along with the voted player and a new Detective will be selected in the following round.
So what do you guys think?
